What We Learnt From Letting Go

Moving on and being free

The evolving nature of our mural wall has become such an inspiring part of our community. In February, the month of love, our members had the opportunity to write an affirmation or love note to themselves as part of #SelfLoveFebruary. Last month, to welcome Autumn, we took inspiration from nature & focused on letting go.

Autumn is my favourite season, it's the time of the year when I sit back & focus on letting go of thoughts, people, habits & things that aren't serving me. I think about the changing of the leaves as they go from green to orange, and the way the trees eventually let them go to make way for new growth. This imagery is something I feel really connected to & I wanted to share with our community. I am no artist, but our lovely member @georgiee_evans is & she drew the most gorgeous tree on our wall with falling leaves. It was just magic.

In case you missed the final product, we asked our community to write down what they’d like to let go of, some were incredibly moving- here are a few that gave me goosebumps!


  • Letting go of an apology I may never receive
  • Believing you can’t
  • Projecting your pain onto others
  • Letting go of toxic people
  • Comparing my life to others
  • Overthinking & the stress that causes
  • Being over critical of myself

I actually wanted to write all of them on this post, because they were all so profound. Thank you for being so open & honest with us, I love our community & the magic we are able to create!
